Youth Programms

Youth in Uganda are the youngest population in the world, with 77% of its population being under 25 years of age. There are 7,310,386 youth from the ages of 15–24 years of age living in Uganda.

Youth unemployment is at record highs and Abra is setting some strong targets to lower these rates.

By providing capital and hands-on skills, Abra looks to work with government and the private sector to promote business start-ups. Abra foundation is working to set up job and career centers where newly graduates are trained and given opportunities for internships making them employable and creating opportunities for them. This will enable have them acquire the skills and experience required for the job market.

Working closely with the Chamber of young entrepreneurs we look to train more youths venturing into entrepreneurship and promoting the culture of youth creating jobs for fellow youths.

Together with our partners we intend to host numerous youth empowerment boot camos in different districts to provide interactivity and training for mental transformation.
